Glow by Rachel Harrison

i explore my wishes slowly
a quiet life exposed to moments
where nothing good is lowly
the overturned is holy

my whistle rusts and still squeals
sandals and shoes are what i see
i'm looking down now at the ground
like birds look down from the sky
resolutely inbetween

i feel so heavy in my head
i refuse to gnaw the skin off my teeth
i can glow gently like this
in the swing of i guess magnets
